How to Reduce Waste This Thanksgiving

Trash Removal | Trumbull CT | ThanksgivingDon’t let food go to waste this Thanksgiving!  Here are a few tips to help you reduce waste and celebrate a greener Thanksgiving this year.

How to Reduce Thanksgiving Waste:

  • Plan Out Your Meal – Know what you need to buy before you go food shopping.  This will help you create a realistic meal plan for you and your guests.  It’ll help you save money too!
  • Utilize Your Freezer – We know that there will always be Thanksgiving leftovers.  Instead of throwing them out or storing them in the fridge, try freezing foods for a later date.  Your food will be kept fresh longer.
  • Use Reusable Dishes – Washing dishes for a house full of guests might be time consuming, but it’s a great way to reduce Thanksgiving waste.  Not to mention, the dishes will help make your dinner beautiful!
  • Make Recycling Easy – Have a recycling bin accessible to your holiday guests.  This way, they’ll be more prone to recycle than to throw empty bottles and soda cans in the trash.
