iStock_000026259428_MediumIt’s National Cut Your Energy Costs Day!  Start the year off on the right foot for you, your family and the environment by making a few changes to your daily routines.  Not only will you be helping the environment, but you’ll also be saving money!  Here are a few tips to help you reduce your energy costs.

How to Reduce Energy Costs:

  • Change Your Light Bulbs – New, energy efficient light bulbs use less energy to light up the room.  They are also designed to save you money and to last longer!
  • Install Low-Flow Fixtures – High efficiency faucets and shower heads are a great way to reduce your home water use.  This means that you will be putting less strain on your hot water heater and using less energy every day.
  • Recycle – More energy is used to create new products than to recycle old ones.  Be sure to recycle your old cans, bottles, and other household objects.  If you’re not sure what you can and cannot recycle, check out the list on our website.
