Warmer weather brings one thing to mind – spring cleaning!  It’s time to get your home in shape for the new season.  This doesn’t just mean surface cleaning, it also means tackling your attic and basement clutter.  Here are a few tips to help you tackle your spring cleaning projects with ease.

Spring Cleaning Tips:

  • Have a Plan – Tackling a neglected room can get overwhelming quickly if you don’t have a plan in place.  Take each room day by day and have a plan for each so that you can get through all the clutter efficiently.
  • Get Rid of Clutter – Chances are that much of the clutter in your basement and attic is hidden away there for a reason.  If you don’t need or use something, it’s time to get rid of it.  A good rule of thumb is if you haven’t used something in the past two years, it’s time to throw it away.
  • Organize What’s Left – Organize what you do plan on keeping.  This will help keep your home clean and prevent clutter from building again throughout the season.
  • Dust and Vacuum – Now that the clutter is away and organized, you need to dust and vacuum the floors and surfaces to keep the room spotless.  This will help prevent spring allergies and keep your family happy and healthy!
