Posted on November 19th, 2015 by Ferocious Media
With Thanksgiving just a week away, it’s time to get your dinner plans in order. Looking to have a more eco-friendly Thanksgiving celebration this year? These tips will help you celebrate a “green” Thanksgiving.
Simple, Eco-Friendly Thanksgiving Tips:
- Shop Local – Before you go out to buy your turkey, stuffing and vegetables, think about shopping locally! Not only is local food fresh, but it also supports local farms.
- Plan Ahead – Know how many guests you’ll be having for Thanksgiving dinner. This will help you portion out the food that you’ll be making for the day.
- Avoid Disposable – If you’re having people over for dinner, use nice china and cloth napkins! If you’re expecting a bigger crowd, have your guests bring a potluck dish and silverware for themselves.
- Recycle – Don’t forget to recycle all of the leftover bottles and cans from your Thanksgiving dinner!
