How Big Should Your Trash Can Be?
Posted on June 19th, 2017 by Residential Waste Systems
You probably don’t think about it often — but your trash can is one of the most important parts of your home. Whether inside or outside, your trash container helps keep your home clean. That said, how do you know how big of a trash can you need in your kitchen, bathroom, or even outside of your home? Here are a few factors that you’ll want to consider.
Factors to Consider
- Available Space – How much space do you have in your home and how regularly are you going to empty your garbage can? While you may not have to take a big garbage can out as often, it may also not fit as ideally in your space.
- Your Family Needs – How big is your family? Younger couples or older parents that live on their own may not need a large indoor garbage can to store waste, while larger families may need a bigger trash can.
- Kitchen or Bathroom? – The room that you plan on keeping your trash can also matters. You will likely need more space for garbage in your kitchen, while you can place a smaller trash can in your bathroom.
- Your Outdoor Garbage Can – Each and every one of our customers is provided with a 96 gallon garbage can to use at no additional cost. Since the can is on wheels, it is easy to put on the curb. Each of our cans is the equivalent of 3 of your average household garbage cans. No matter what your family needs, we are here to help.
